Objeto de piedra taino de Cuba utilizado para majar hierbas medicinales y tallado en forma de mucaro (lechusa). Esta lechusa se presenta en una posicion tradicional de meditacion y oracion. Sus manos antropomorfes se sostienen a la altura de los hombros con las palmas de las manos hacia afuera y los dedos medio enrroscados.

This spiritual community includes Caney circles in New York City, North Western New York state, the greater Philadelphia, PA area, Boriken and Florida.

The Caney Indian Spiritual Circle is an organization devoted to the path of shamanic enlightenment as it was trailblazed by ancient mystics and wise elders of the Taino Native people in the Caribbean islands over four thousand years ago.
Our tradition is inspired by the combined prophesies of Aurasurey of Boriken and Guaricheanao of Kuba. It is based on the fact of global rebirth and enlightenment in the period of years between 1992 and 2012 and the far reaching consequences of these pivotal calendrical events. It is the hope of reconciliation that can last into the centuries to come. It is guided by the power and magic of the ancient Cemis of Taino culture.
Our path is illuminated by the words of the holy text THE BOOK OF SONGS* , a native testament inspired by the spirits and set down in writing by Miguel (SOBAOKO KOROMO) Sague Jr. in 1974.

El Circulo Espiritual Caney es una organizacion dedicada a una tradicion de caracter shamanista tal y como fue explorada en tiempo muy antiguos por los sabios ancianos de los pueblos tainos de las Antillas hace mas de cuatro mil a~os atras.
Nuestra tradicion toma su inspiracion de las profecias combinadas de Aurasurey de Boriken y Guaricheanao de Cuba. Esta tradicion se basa en el hecho de renacimiento e iluminacion mundial durante el periodo de a~ons entre el 1992 y el 2012 y las contundentes consequencias de esas fechas extraordinarias.
